Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Insurers Association (ASA) has defined itself with priorities for 2016.

ASA head Orhan Bayramov has stated that one of the main directions of Association’s activities in 2016 will be the development of international cooperation.

"In particular, it is planned to establish relations with insurance associations in other countries, as well as Insurance Europe. The issue of membership in the organization is not considered now as it has serious requirements and we have to work over them, but we can become an observer country," Bayramov said.

He points out that next year the Association intends to launch the Marketing Plan of Insurance Education for 2016 to be approved at a general meeting of the Association in January. The Marketing Plan says of the promotion of insurance business, bringing of the value of insurance to the masses and informing about the different types of insurance.

Insurance Europe is the federation of European insurers and reinsurers, which consists of 34 organizations, being national insurance associations and insurance and reinsurance organizations providing all types of insurance. The organizations which are members of Insurance Europe form about 95% of the total volume of insurance premiums collected in Europe. The headquarters of Insurance Europe is located in Brussels.
